As of to date, I have 4 Chet Baker's CD:

1) Chat Baker & Stan Getz, Album name - West Coat Live. by Pacific Jazz - A Blue note label. Recorded live on Jun 1953 and Aug 1954.

2) Chat Baker , Plays the best of Lerner & Loewe. by Riverside. Recorded on July 1959.

3) Chet Baker, Sings and Plays. by Cameo. compilation.

4) Chat Baker, The Best of Chet Baker Sings. by Pacific Jazz. Recorded on various time from 1953-16.

Basically - i am more addicted to his voice, than to his trumpet sound alone. Even if i like the trumpet sound, it's because it's right after his.... unexplainably sad voice.

The love songs that he sings are of coz draw out my heart - best picks are: Look for the silver lining, Angel eyes, The Thrill is gone, My funny valentine.

And the one i can play repeatedly, non-stop, for hours, is: "I fall in love too easily".

"Let's get lost" is .... crazily sweet too. :-)

My CDs, books, and DVDs review - big project in 2009

Came across Chet Baker's myspace page few days before - I decided to play Chet's song on CD.

Scanned through my CD collection for 10 mins, looking for the song "I fall in love too easily"...

I guess I should start writing about my collection.

A big project for 2009 indeed....
